What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, your chosen pickup or delivery date, and, for delivery orders, your delivery address. We also keep the items you ordered and the amount you paid.

When you send a catering or contact inquiry we collect your name, email, phone number, and whatever details you choose to share about your event.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and your card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure fields. Dessert Garden receives only a confirmation that payment succeeded, along with the last four digits and card brand.

How we use it

To prepare and fulfil your order, to contact you about that order, and to respond to your catering or contact inquiry. That is all. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have separately asked us to.

Who processes your data

Stripe processes payments. Supabase stores order and inquiry records. Resend delivers our transactional email. Vercel hosts the website. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf, and some store it on servers outside Canada.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for business and tax purposes. Inquiry records are kept until they are no longer relevant to your event.

Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us and we will respond.

Cookies

This site stores your shopping cart in your browser so it survives a page refresh. Stripe sets cookies necessary to process payments securely and prevent fraud. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
